Arsenal have started the Premier League season in good fashion with seven points collected from a possible nine. Mikel Arteta’s men are looking to finally end their wait to be crowned champions of England after 21 years.
The Gunners have finished second behind Manchester City in the last two seasons after turning their fortunes around under Arteta. This summer, five players were added to the squad, including four-time Premier League champion Raheem Sterling.
Owner Stan Kroenke has continued to invest in the North Londoners in his mission to continue his successful track record of lifting trophies in sport. He owns eight franchises in total, including NFL outfit Los Angeles Rams, NBA side Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche from the NHL.
According to Sportico’s list of most valuable sports teams in the world, the Rams are worth a whopping £6billion. In contrast to Arsenal, the Gunners didn’t even make the top 50 of the list. The Rams kickstart their NFL campaign against the Detroit Lions tonight looking to win back the Super Bowl after losing their crown to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ahead of the new season, Kroenke and a number of owners voted in favour of allowing a new change in ownership of NFL franchises. Sportico reported that the Arsenal owner was one of 31 owners to vote for private equity to be allowed to invest in franchises in the future.

The Rams could be one of the franchises likely to be seeking private investment in the short-term future, with the change in ruling presenting the opportunity for Kroenke to sell portion of his stake in the franchise.
