Angel Reese has revealed she is “not looking for man” after splitting with her millionaire ex-boyfriend.
The WNBA star sat down with four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal for a candid conversation on an episode of her podcast, ‘Unapologetically Angel’. Among the topics covered was dating and relationship advice from the Los Angeles Lakers legend, who asked the 22-year-old Chicago Sky power forward what type of man she wants to date.
Reese has become one of the biggest faces in women’s basketball since winning the 2023 NCAA championship, the NCAA’s Most Outstanding Player and becoming a WNBA all-star in her rookie season. And the Maryland athlete insisted she was currently focused on other avenues as opposed to finding a boyfriend.
She initially answered O’Neal’s question by saying: “I’m not looking for a man. I’m looking just for happiness in life.”
Pushed further by the iconic ‘Inside the NBA’ analyst on the kind of man she is interested in, Reese said: “A high calibre man. A smart, nice and genuine man. But he cannot be a house husband.”
While O’Neal interjected with various questions, Reese described her ideal partner, adding: “I like danger. I want people to think my man is attractive yes. He’s got to be a strong, confident man.”
The 6ft 3in talent was recently in a high-profile relationship with college basketball star Cam’Ron Fletcher. Reese confirmed her split from the Florida State Seminoles player in March, telling her millions of Instagram followers: “Yeah, I’m single. I don’t got no man. Don’t attach me to no man. That’s all I’mma say. That’s it.”
Reese and Fletcher met six years ago through basketball and grew closer during the Covid-19 pandemic, first confirming their relationship publicly in June 2023. They enjoyed their first holiday together in Jamaica shortly after, where they got matching tattoos with each other’s names.

The former college basketball power couple both have NIL deals, with Fletcher himself boasting a whopping net worth of between $1million and $3m as of last year. He has endorsement deals with Rising Spear and Urban Outfitters.
Meanwhile, Reese has a net worth of around $2m according to various sources. She secured a multi-year contract with Reebok when O’Neal was appointed the brand’s President of Basketball division.
Despite her reluctance to date right now, Reese previously admitted that she would not rule out dating an NBA player in the future. In September, she shut down rumours that she was dating 2014 MVP and Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant after they were spotted together courtside at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
