Alejandro Sanz has made a return to the top 10 on a Billboard U.S. chart with “Hoy No Me Siento Bien,” marking his initial collaboration with Grupo Frontera. The track moves up from 12 to 7 on the Latin Pop Airplay chart (dated Feb. 15), representing the Spaniard’s first appearance in the upper tier since 2020.
Released on Jan. 24 under Sony Music Latin, “Hoy No Me Siento Bien” ascends to No. 7 following an impressive 51% boost in plays for the tracking week ending Feb. 6, as reported by Luminate. This surge equates to 2.7 million audience impressions across the U.S. during its second week on the chart.

Sanz declared on his Instagram account that “This is not just a song, it’s a declaration,” as he announced the collaboration with Frontera on Jan. 24. The single, produced by Grammy and Latin Grammy award winner Edgar Barrera, blends Sanz’s signature pop style with Frontera’s cumbia folk roots.
The last time Sanz achieved a top 10 position on Latin Pop Airplay was with “For Sale,” alongside Carlos Vives in 2020, where it peaked at No. 5. Since then, he has had three other tracks, including “Muero,” with Kany García, which narrowly missed the top, peaking at No. 11 in 2022.
Frontera has secured its first top 10 placement on its initial attempt. The group entered the Latin pop radio ranking last week, debuting “Hoy No Me Siento Bien” at No. 12 on the chart dated Feb. 8.
Sanz, one of the pioneers of Latin pop, adds a 25th top 10 entry to his career. He first reached the upper echelon with the song “La Fuerza del Corazón,” which peaked at No. 9 in 1995. Since then, he has secured at least one top 10 hit on Latin Pop Airplay every decade, with six of those tracks reaching the top spot, including his featured performance on Shakira’s “La Tortura,” which led for 10 weeks, tying with Juanes’ “La Camisa Negra” for the longest-running No. 1 song in 2005.
Due to continued popularity on Latin pop radio stations, “Hoy No Me Siento Bien” also debuts at No. 43 on the overall Latin Airplay chart, marking Sanz’s first presence since his collaboration on “Muero,” with Kany García, in 2022.
“Hoy No Me Siento Bien” is set to be included in Sanz’s 15th studio album. It follows his first single, “Palmeras En El Jardín,” which peaked at No. 13 on Latin Pop Airplay (Dec. 2024).
